Having at least one property was crucial for getting the maximum benefit.

The amounts varied depending on income and home annual value. Lower income and smaller annual value resulted in higher cash.
No application was necessary if you had received previous payouts—the process was automatic.

Timing and Mode of Payment
Cash was credited to linked accounts via PayNow starting from the early August month. Others got bank credits or GovCash later in the same month.
Linking PayNow-NRIC assured the fastest receipt of the cash.
Beware of Rumors and Scams
Some online claims indicated S$700 or other amounts in various months—these were false. It is always advisable to trust only official sources such as govbenefits.gov.sg.
No one legitimate will ever ask for payment or details in order to “claim” benefits.
How It Will Impact Daily Life
This amount can be used freely for groceries, transport, and savings, and it becomes more useful in times of inflation.
